Accessibility statement

A cybersecurity site that shuts out part of its readers misses the point. Here is where we stand, without rounding the corners.

/01

Our commitment

We want this site to stay usable with a screen reader, with the keyboard alone, with screen magnification or with a reduced motion preference. The reference we follow is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.1.

That level is not met everywhere. This page describes the real state of things rather than claiming a conformance no third party has audited.

/02

What is in place

The following is implemented and verified across the pages of the site.

  • a consistent heading hierarchy and navigation landmarks on every page;
  • the language of the page declared, in French as in English;
  • keyboard navigation throughout, with a visible, contrasted focus indicator;
  • alternative text on meaningful images, with decorative elements hidden from assistive technology;
  • forms whose every field carries a label, with error messages announced to screen readers;
  • a site assistant usable from the keyboard, its answers announced as the conversation goes;
  • decorative animations and animated scrolling reduced when the system signals a reduced motion preference.
/03

Known limitations

The following points are identified and tracked. They will be fixed in coming updates.

  • no skip link allowing a jump straight to the main content;
  • the contrast of some secondary text on dark backgrounds, still to be measured across every page;
  • scroll-reveal animations that are not all disabled by the reduced motion preference;
  • no external audit: our assessment is internal and based on manual testing.

Reporting a barrier

If a page blocks you, write to us with the address of the page, your browser and your assistive technology. We acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and offer either a solution or a target date for the fix.

Alternative means

If a piece of content remains out of reach, we will send it to you in another format or answer you by voice. The phone line is open at all times for ongoing incidents.
